Here is my final picture of our woodcarving. I really like the way it turned out. Minnie's face took me a while, and it was difficult because the pieces kept chipping off, but I think it looks fine.

  1. could you try to get a photo that doesn't have glare?

  3. critique: You have a lot of great lines, depth and shadows. I love this, it's so great especially the way the ears are concave. I don't see anything you should change.

  4. I really like how simple and clean cut your subject matter is and I think you did a wonderful job on giving depth and definition to their bodies. I would have liked to have seen the same depth and definition in their faces as the bodies but that may just be the glare from the camera's flash. Also, I think maybe having some kind of simple border or something on the edges would've emphasized your subjects and your negative space more. My eyes just keep wanting to wonder to the open corners of the piece rather than drawing my eye into the center of the piece.

  5. I love the fun subject matter. I think it is well proportioned and even. I also agree about the need for a border due to the open space.

  8. I like how you made the background of the piece that irregular cuts. It makes it look interesting with the subject matter.
