Nancy Rubins was born in Naples, Tx. in the year 1952. She Recieved her B.F.A at the Maryland College of Art, Baltimore in 1974, and obtained her M.F.A from Davis College in California in 1976. Nancy Rubins sculpture' uses negative space in such a way, that it produces an almost euphoric feeling when viewed personally. Even from the pictures, when you get past them being pictures and take into account the shear size of her work you can see an immediate connection with modern architecture and the industrial era.
