Deborah Butterfield and company

Deborah Butterfield likes to work big she creates horses in all sizes but it is the monumental bronzes and steel structures that seem to capture her imagination the most. She and her husband also an artist live on a 350-acre ranch just a few miles outside of Bozeman Montana.

  1. I fixed the cable on their ranch before. I was also stranded there once.

  4. She has a multimillion dollar studio and she owns several of this really expensive (millions$) horses from Germany. She's got a massive horse arena that's next to her studio. It's all top notch facilities. Out back she's got a huge salvage yard full of metal scraps and driftwood. Every is in neat piles according to material type and where they came from. Her husband John Buck is also a very famous sculptor. They were the sculpture professors where I got my MFA (MSU)
