I can actually say (without too much of a bad taste in my mouth) that I kind of liked how this fourth attempt turned out. I knew I wanted to do something with the stone table in the park and the pastels and charcoal I had brought with me. Finding the long stalks of grass (?) nearby made it all the more easy to figure out what I wanted to do. When I first tossed the grass onto table, I thought it somewhat resembled a fan but then I felt it could more closely resemble a sunflower. The blue, white, and black didn't photograph and the grass didn't contrast as well as I had hoped for but I still think it adds to more than what it would have been.
This blog is for East Central University sculpture students to interact with one another. Students will post images of their classwork and discuss / critique the work on an ongoing basis throughout the semester.
