John Chamberlain is an American sculptor who was born in April 1927. Around the age of 12 he became interested in art, but before settling with art he wanted to become an aeronautical engineer.
He is known throughout the world for his long and extensive career creating dynamic colored sculptures from automobile parts. He takes these parts and crushes and bends them to create abstract pieces. He made an impact on the artistic movement in Minimalism and also Pop Art.
Chamberlain has been creating works for six decades, during this time he is considered a genius using three-dimensional space. He has been honored with many achievements and awards. Chamberlain is a respected artist for inspiring future artists and several movements like Abstract Expressionism, Constructivism and Cubism.
